Case history

Ron and Cheryl and their 8 year old twin boys were looking for a replacement dog for their Kangal who had passed away from old age.  The catch was that their Standard Poodle, despite regular training, was aggressive and unpredictable towards unknown puppies and dogs.

We spent a lot of time discussing the requirements for a dog to both fulfill Ron’s aspirations to compete in obedience and agility trials and fit into the household peacefully.

Finally Ron settled on a Hungarian Vizsla.  We went through the process of finding a puppy from a reputable breeder. I went with Ron to select his puppy and we came home with a cool little dude who is called Zaphod.

We worked out a strict integration plan so that Sadie would become used to and accepting of Zaphod whilst we kept Zaphod safe.  It was a slow process but after several weeks the two dogs are now firm friends and we had no  incidents during the integration period.
